transit 24h guangzhou possible ?

Travelling from Helsinki to Guangzhou and within 24h to Tokyo on a seperate ticket and backwards the same. Is the transitvisa applicable. Example:Helsinki - Guangzhou - Tokyo - Guangzhou - Helsinki
