Do I need transit visa?

Hi,
I will have a flight from Vietnam to the U.S with 1 stop in Beijing Capital International Airport. Follow my ticket I booked I will arrive Beijing on 04/02/20 then continue to the U.S, but now they CANCEL the second flight to the U.S. Now they change me to a flight departure on 06/02/20. That means I have to stay in the airport from 04/02 to 06/02.
I am Vietnamese so do I have to apply visa transit or any document? Thank you

You will need a visa before arrival on this itinerary, so make sure to contact the airline regarding a free change of flights or a refund if you don't want to get one.

Thanks John. So, you mean even though I don't get out of the airport boundary, I still have to get the visa?

Yes. Your layover is more than 24 hours so you need a visa regardless of whether clearing immigration or not.

Can I have 1 more question?
Do you know what type of visa I have to apply for?

Type G (transit). However I suggest talking to the airline first because the schedule change was involuntary and causes inconvenience, and they may move you to earlier or later flights if requested. That means you may no longer need a visa.
