Shanghai, Japan, Taiwan, Manila, HongKong

I am a UK citizen, flying direct from the UK into Shanghai on the 27th Feb. I have a hotel booked for 2 nights in Shanghai and will then be joining a cruise which departs from Shanghai on the 1st March (going to Japan, Taiwan, Manila and finally Hong Kong). I fly back to the UK from Hong Kong. Will I be eligible for the 144 hour visa free transit in Shanghai? Thanks
