About:Visa on Arrival

London to Frankfurt to Shenzhen to Hanoi

Hello

We have the following itinerary, I’m pretty sure it’s fine for 144 visa on arrival but just wanted to check please?

27/12: London to Frankfurt

28/12: Frankfurt to SZ (arrival at SZ 29/12)

02/01: SZ to Hanoi

UK passport holders. Used the Beijing 72 hour transit in 2015. Have a new passport with no stamps but will bring old one

Yes, you are definitely eligible for 144 hour visa free transit in the entire Guangdong province and not just for Shenzhen city.

You should just keep in mind that you are not allowed to have any additional stop within mainland China on both of your flights. I assume that you will take CA772 from Frankfurt to Shenzhen and if this is a case, you are fine.

There are several nice attractions within Guangdong province:

1. Guangzhou has several nice landmarks (Yuexiu Park, Chen Clan Academy, Guangxiao Temple, Pearl river short night cruises)
2. Kaiping countryside with its diaolous (watchtowers)
3. Danxia Mountain in Renhua county, the real wonder of nature - it is accessible by buses departing from the East railway station in Shaouguan
4. Several nice attractions within Shenzhen

Just don't worry, there are so many things to bee seen :)
