About:24-Hour Visa-Free Transit

Indian Passport LayOver 15 hours Beijing

Can I enter Beijing to visit certain places in Beijing during a 15 hour Layover ?
I have Indian passport. US B1/B2 Visa and will be travelling from LAX to India.

Thanks for the response.
To be on the safer side will having a G visa in hand be useful? It's a 1-10 day visa for Mainland China. If I have the G visa should I require the trip booking confirmation also? Or that visa will suffice.?

Sandhi, you have to know that you are perfectly allowed to apply for a temporary entry permit upon your landing in Beijing. You can even enclose an accommodation booking confirmation or a pre booked tour of the city, but the issuing of this particular permit always depends on sovereign discretion of immigration official on the day of your arrival in Beijing. I would say that your chances are fine, but nobody can really guarantee.

If you obtain a transit (G) visa, you really don't have to bother with any of the details that we are talking about them on this pages :)
