About:72-Hour Visa-Free Transit FAQ

Sfo to Hong Kong, Hong Kong to Beijing then Beijing to hanoi

I booked a roundtrip flight from sfo to Hong Kong. My first trip is to Beijing for 68 hours then I go to Hanoi, will I qualify for a 72 hour visa?

If your route is SFO - HK - Beijing - Hanoi with no other layovers in between, you actually qualify for the 144h visa-free transit in Beijing.
