About:24-Hour Visa-Free Transit

Shenzhen stopover

I am travelling from Pnomh Penh (PNH) to London Heathrow (LHR) with a stopover in Shenzhen for 19.5hrs arriving at 18.40 2/3/20 and departing at 14.10 on 3/3/20. I would like to know what visa I require as I know Shenzhen is not eligible for TWOV and if I can leave the airport during this long stopover to sightsee/book a room for the night near the airport.

Shenzhen is eligible for both 24 and 144 hour transit without visa (with some exceptions). You should be fine to leave the airport overnight, especially with a confirmed booking for a hotel. As your travel is still a few months away, it will be worth checking back a couple of weeks before you leave just to make sure there haven't been any other changes.
