About:24-Hour Visa-Free Transit

Cruise Japan - China - Taiwan - Hong Kong. Visa required?

Our cruise itinerary includes a one day stop in Shanghai (travelling from Japan and moving on to Taiwan. Do we qualify for the 24 hour TWOV? We are citizens of the United Kingdom.

Yes, you do. Your itinerary is definitely eligible for 24 hours TWOV and you would be eligible even for 144 hour visa free transit (TWOV) if your cruise had a longer layover.
