About:240-hour Visa-free Transit in Shanghai, Zhejiang, and Jiangsu

144 hour visa free transit application

Is it easy to apply for this on line - we are flying direct from Uk with British passports to Shanghai for 2 days then join a cruise departing from Wusongkou International Cruise Terminal. Would it be better to apply for this in person with our relevant documentation on arrival at Pudong airport’s immigration? Thank you

You are advised to apply in person and not to rely on an online application. You need your flight and cruise tickets printouts and you will approach 144 hour visa free transit counter upon your landing in Shanghai. After a short inspection, you will get a sticker in your passport and be allowed to exit the airport.
