144 hours transit visa

Hello, I am Italian, with Italian passport
if I take a flight from London to Beijing on the 28th oct and then a flight Beijing Milan on the 2nd nov, can I apply for a 144 hours transit visa/72 hours free visa entraNCE

if I leave from Frankurtf/Munich/Paris instead of London, always going back to Milan from Beijing, is that still ok? or does have to be a extra Schengen country?

many thanks

Pierina, all your mentioned itineraries are eligible for 144 hour visa free transit in Beijing area. Chinese visa free policy has nothing to do whether one or two countries are within Schengen country area or not. Talks about the so called problem when an origin and final country are within Schengen area are just an urban legend. You are perfectly eligible to have two Schengen countries like Germany and Italy and be eligible for 144 hour visa free transit. Of course, all you have to take care of is that your flights to and from China are nonstop.

By the way, the simplest formula of 144 hour visa free transit rule is: Only the immediate points before and after your Chinese destination matter... Everything else is really irrelevant.

By the way, 72 hour visa free transit has been replaced in Beijing by 144 hour visa free transit a couple of years ago. Also, it is not "144 hours transit visa", but 144 hour visa free transit. Please, use correct terminology to avoid any possible misunderstandings.
