About:240-Hour Visa-Free Transit

Japan-- China--US

Hi there,

With the following itinerary, will I be eligible for the 144 Hour Transit Free Visa: Tokoyo--Beijing then Beijing--Detriot? All by air, but Tokoyo--Beijing is on one ticket and Beijing to Detriot is on a separate one.
