Yes, you will be eligible for 144 hour visa free transit in Shanghai. 72 hour visa free transit has been replaced in Shanghai by 144 hour visa free transit a couple of years ago.

You should just take care that your flight from Paris to Shanghai does not have any additional landing within mainland China and in Japan.

By the way, I cannot make out how many hours will you spend in Shanghai. If the time from your scheduled arrival by plane in Shanghai and your scheduled departure by cruise from Shanghai is longer than 24 hours, you will enjoy 144 hour visa free transit and if your entire transit time will be less than 24 hours, you will be covered by 24 hour visa free transit scheme. In any case you do not need a visa of any kind.
