About:240-hour Visa-free Transit in Beijing, Tianjin & Hebei

Do I qualify for 144 hour visa free transit?

Hello,
I was wondering if I qualify for 144 hour visa. I am an American passport holder, my flight departs LAX on OCT 20 at 0045 and arrives to Chongqing OCT 21 at 0605 for a layover departing on OCT 21 at 2035 to Beijing. My return flight departs Beijing on OCT 27 at 1530 and arrive to Chengdu at 1830 for a layover that departs to LAX at 2300.

This is a complete non-starter for visa-free transit. You must get a visa. First, you are not even in transit to a third country because you fly USA-China-USA. Second, your stops in multiple cities in China would automatically limit you to 24 hours transit without visa anyway.
