Transit Visa required for South African?

Do I require a transit visa for a 7 hour layover in Beijing International Airport (PEK)? I

Yolande, we really need your itinerary, i.e. the airports immediately before and after Beijing to be able to correctly and reliably answer to your question. For the start, your layover is fine :) Now, you should just add your airports and I hope everything will be fine.

You are definitely and undeniably eligible for 24 hour visa free transit in Beijing. You did't mention the length of your layover on your return flight, but if that one is also less than 24 hours long, you are eligible for 24 hour visa free transit on that flight too.
