About:240-Hour Visa-Free Transit

144 transit without visa

My schedule is:
Amsterdam to Shanghai
Shanghai by train to Beijing
Beijing via Hong Kong back to Amsterdam
Can I apply for the 144 transit withouten visa?

You must obtain a visa in advance of travel. Two stops (Shanghai, Beijing) immediately limits you to 24 hours transit without visa in China. 144 hours allows you to transit in Shanghai, or Beijing, but not both.

Amsterdam-Beijing-Hong Kong-Amsterdam is fine for 144 hours transit without visa in Beijing. If you also want to see Shanghai, then Amsterdam-Beijing-Hong Kong-Shanghai-Amsterdam would work. Always assuming your passport is from one of the 53 listed countries, of course.
