About:240-hour Visa-free Transit in Xiamen

Flight Los Angeles to Bangkok with 3 hour in Xiamen

Hi:

Will 3 hours be enough time? I’m arriving at 5:10am in Xiamen and my flight to Bangkok leaves at 09:15am from Xiamen. Am I correct in understanding no visa is necessary to make this flight? I read I have to leave the building and go through customs showing a visa? Thank you
