About:72-Hour Visa-Free Transit

72 hr visa: Australian citizen flying from Sydney to Shanghai

Hello I am an Australian citizen I will be flying from Sydney to Shanghai via Singapore and leaving by cruise ship from Shanghai within the 72 hrs. Do I need a visa.

It depends on your first port of call after Shanghai. If it is in mainland China or Singapore, then you need a visa. Otherwise you do not.
