About:240-hour Visa-free Transit in Beijing, Tianjin & Hebei

sfo to Japan to Beijing to Hong Kong to SFO

I plan to fly from sfo to Japan, then Japan to Beijing; after 3 days, then fly from Beijing to Hong Kong & spend 2 days before flying back to SFO. Does this qualify for the 144 hour visa free transit?
