About:72-Hour Visa-Free Transit

Can I get a transit visa if traveling from Manila to Bejing and then 2 days later traveling to USA

I will be on vacation in the Phillipines and decided on the way home to stop over in Bejing. We fly from Manila to Bejing on Nov 15 and fly to Orlando FL on Nov 17 from Bejing. Those 3 days we wanted to explore China. Can we get a 72hr transit visa for this?

Yes, your itinerary is definitely eligible for 144 hour visa free transit and you don't need any kind of visa. Anyway, you should have in mind the following three details:

- Your flight from the Philippines to Beijing should be non-stop
- Your flight from Beijing to Orlando should not have any additional landing within mainland China or Philippines
- Both of us know that there are no direct flights between Beijing and Orlando, so you will probably reach some other US city before continuing to Orlando. This is fine, but take care of the second detail.

Also, keep in mind that 72 hour visa free transit has been replaced in Beijing by 144 hour visa free transit and you should adopt this terminology because there is no 72 or 144 transit visa. There is no visa of any kind in your scheme at all. Just visa free transit!
