About:240-hour Visa-free Transit in Beijing, Tianjin & Hebei

Am I qualified for 72 hour visa free in Beijing?

My first round trip ticket flight is
From San Francisco to Beijing via Seattle on Nov. 7 and arrive on Nov. 8 at 7:35pm
From Beijing to San Francisco via Seattle on Nov. 26 at 12:35pm
My second round trip ticket is
From Beijing to Tokyo via Seoul on Nov. 10 at 9:55pm
From Tokyo to Beijing via Seoul on Nov. 23 and arrive on Nov. 24 at 12:25am

I bought both tickets separately and I have U.S. passport.
What do I need to show at the passport control?

Is your first trip route is San Francisco-Seattle-Beijing-Seattle-San Francisco and the second route is Beijing-Seoul-Tokyo-Seoul-Beijing? Well, you are not eligible for visa free transit in your first trip. As for your second trip, Where do you come from before you go to Beijing and where will you go when you back to Beijng? If they are third different countries or regions, then you are eligible for it.

Thank you for your response. To answer your question, the complete traveling route is [San Francisco -> Seattle -> Beijing] -> Seoul -> Tokyo -> Seoul -> [Beijing -> Seattle -> San Francisco]. I may have been misunderstood. I am flying through Beijing from San Francisco to Tokyo with two separate tickets. The first ticket, shown by the brackets, has a layover in Seattle before stopping in Beijing and the second ticket has a layover in Seoul before arriving in Tokyo. The transit time in Beijing is less than 72 hours. I am wondering if having two separate tickets will be an issue.

So if your complete traveling route is San Francisco -> Seattle -> Beijing -> Seoul -> Tokyo -> Seoul -> Beijing -> Seattle -> San Francisco, then you are eligible for 144 hour visa free transit. It has nothing to do with separate tickets, the point is your last and next destinations when you fly in and out Beijing should belong to different country/region.
