Dusseldorf (Germany)>Istanbul (Turkey)>Guangzhou>Istanbul (Turkey)>Dusseldorf (Germany) also requires a visa.

ROME-SHANGHAI-PARIS should not require a VISA right? even if the first leg has a 3 hours layover in PARIS?

Rome-Paris-Shanghai-Paris requires a visa. There is no "it's only 3 hours" exemption.
