About:72-Hour Visa-Free Transit

We are flying into Beijing from the uk and leaving 3 days later

We arrive at 8.30 on the 4th and leave on a cruise at 4.30 on the 7th are we eligible for the 72 hour transit visa

Alan, you are eligible for 144 hour visa free transit (72 hour TWOV was replaced by 144 hour TWOV a couple years ago in Beijing area) in principle. Anyway, to be certain, here is a couple of conditions:

- Your flight from UK to Beijing should not have any additional landing in mainland China and in the country where your cruise will have its first port of call, immediately after Tianjin (Beijing)
- Your cruise is not allowed to have its first port of call, immediately after Tianjin (Beijing), in mainland China

If the above conditions are fulfilled, you are definitely eligible for 144 hour visa free transit in Beijing area.
