About:240-hour Visa-free Transit in Xiamen

144 hour Visa free entry to Xiamen

If we flew to Xiamen from Chiang Mai, Thailand and departed Xiamen to the US would we be eligible for the 144 hour Visa Free entry?

Yes, an itinerary of that type would be eligible for 144 hour visa free transit. Anyway, since there is no direct flight from Chiang Mai to Xiamen, you have to take care that you do not insert additional stop within mainland China because in that case, it would not be eligible for 144 hour visa free transit any more!
