About:240-Hour Visa-Free Transit in Guangdong

144 hours stay in Guangdong

I will be coming to HK fair and later on would like to travel to Jiangmen.
Can I use any bus or ferry to Jiangmen to apply 144 hours visa free either in Shenzhen bay port or Jiangmen see port when I arrive there. How long is the counter open at the border or at the sea port in Jiangmen.
Do I have to have for example air ticket from HK prooving that I will not stay longer than 6 days without having literally ticket back to HK at that time because I maye coming back to Hk through Shenzen.
I would be more than thankfull for reply.

Hi Thank you very much for your reply.
Could you please let me know because I have found on our government website airports and train stations and seaports where I could enter with 144 hours non visa transit.

Baiyun International Airport, Shenzhen Bao'an International Airport, Meizhou Airport, Zhanjiang Airport, Jieyang Chaoshan Airport

Train stations:
Guangzhou East Railway Station, Dongguan Railway Station, Foshan Railway Station, Zhaoqing Railway Station

Highways:
Shenzhen: Shatoujiang Port, Wen Jindu Port, Huanggang Port, Luohu Port, Shenzhen Bay Port, Futian Port
Zhuhai: Gongbei Port, Hengqin Port

Sea Ports:
Guangzhou: Port of Guangzhou Gang, Port of Nansha Gang, Port of Lianhuashan Gang
Shenzhen: Port of Shekou Gang, Wharf of Shenzhen Bao'an International Aiport
Zhuhai: Port of Jiuzhougang, Wanzi Port, Port of Wanshangang, Port of Doumen Gang
Jiangmen: Port of Jiangmen Gang, Port of Heshan Gang
Foshan: Port of Foshan Gaoming Gang, Port of Rongqi Gang
Zhongshan: Port of Zhongshan Guang
Dongguan: Port of Dongguan Humen Gang

So for my opinion there should be a way to go to Shenzhen on 144 hours non-visa transit through train station than from Shenzhen to Jiangmen I could take a bus, but to be able to get permit I would like to know if I can get it on any other place than airport because more convenient is from HK to take train or ferry or even take metro to Shenzhen.
Another thing is I would like to know if you could tell me how long does it take to get tourist visa in HK to China, because many years ago it was few hours now it takes few days,
Could you let me know that and also fee for one entrance tourist visa.
I am waiting for your kind reply.
Best Regards
Michal L.

Michal, unfortunately, the only way you can enjoy visa free transit of any kind in Guangdong province with departure point in Hong Kong is by direct, nonstop flight from Hong Kong to Guangzhou. Of course, you can also use 5 day Shenzhen VOA, but this visa has very strict geographical validity, i.e. it is limited just to Shenzhen SEZ (Special Economic Zone). In other words, this VOA in the same as Zhuhai VOA is of no practical value to reach Jiangmen and the rest of Guangdong province.

Now, you will have to choose, whether you will use this option and travel the itinerary:

Hong Kong - Guangzhou (by plane) - Shenzhen (by train) - Macau (by ferry) - Hong Kong (by bus or ferry)

Or you will apply for a Chinese tourist (L) visa in advance.
