About:240-Hour Visa-Free Transit

Shanghai trip 144 hours visa

Hello, I want to fly from Frankfurt/Germany to Shanghai and back to Frankfurt. If I have a stopover in Moskau on the way to Shanghai snd in Hongkong in the way back, am I eligible for the 144 hours visa? Thanks, Uwe

Ok, I was a little worried that a stopover will no be acceptable because I don’t have records for immigration/emigration from Russia.

In other words, your entire itinerary is exactly this one:

Frankfurt - Moscow - Shanghai
Shanghai - Hong Kong - Frankfurt

If this is a case, you are definitely eligible for 144 hour visa free transit in Shanghai.

OK, you will be just in transit in Russia. This is just fine. The rules are clear... Only the immediate points before and after the Chinese destination matter regardless if you are only in transit or not. Don't worry, the Chinese immigration authorities will know perfectly your previous airport.
