About:240-Hour Visa-Free Transit

144 hours exception

Hi, I have to go Shanghai in 2 weeks more for 4 days. The thing is that i need a paper from my country (im not in my home country right now, im traveling) and they will not recieve the aplication in czech republic without that paper (and i cant have it easily). So, because im traveling, can i go Prague-Shanghai and comeback from shanghai to Budapest (for example) if I stay just 4 days?
Thanks!!! have a good day.

Yes, you can. You are definitely allowed to travel the itinerary you have mentioned:

Prague - Shanghai - Budapest (or something similar)

This itinerary will allow you 144 hour visa free transit in Shanghai area, but you should really take care that your flights are direct and without any additional stop of any kind, especially in mainland China.
