About:China Visa

travel from Tokyo to Vancouver with Beijing route and use of 144 hour visa free

here is my travel from Tokyo to Vancouver:

Tokyo- Shanghai ( 2 hours layover only)- Beijing 3 days stay- shanghai (2 hour layover only)- Vancouver.

based on the above route, am I eligible for 144 visa free to enter to Beijing?

The eligible transit route is Country A → B: one of the allowed areas in Mainland China → Country C (except Country A and Mainland China). So you need to apply a transit visa in advance.
