About:240-Hour Visa-Free Transit

the 144 transit visa

Hello,

I will be departing Montreal, Canada and arriving in Singapore on Sept 10 with a layover of 7 hours in Beijing. And I will be departing on 24th Sept from Singapore to Montreal via Beijing ( 6 days stopover- leaving on the 29th of September). Am i eligible for the 144 transit visa? Thank you.

If you are a Canadian citizen and your itinerary does not have any additional stops of any kind beside those mentioned, then you will be eligible for 24 hour visa free transit during your first arrival in Beijing and for 144 hour visa free transit during your second arrival in Beijing.

By the way, please, use correct terminology and that is 24/144 hour visa free transit and not "144 transit visa" or similar, to avoid any possible misunderstandings.
