About:240-Hour Visa-Free Transit in Guangdong

LON-SZX-HAN 144 Free Visa applicable if the SZX-HAN is made by train?

hello, Is the any way to apply for 144 free visa if the outbound is made by RAIL?
Itinerary would be: LON (direct fly) SZX - Outbound by rail to Hanoi

Unfortunately, there is no any visa free transit option that would include the train connection between Guangzhou and Hanoi. The only eligible train option from Guangzhou is to Hong Kong by Guangzhou–Kowloon through train.

To be allowed to enjoy 144 hour visa free transit in Guangdong province you will have to fly from Shenzhen or Guangzhou by direct flight to Hanoi. Otherwise, you will need a Chinese visa obtained in advance.

I have mentioned Guangzhou, but the same thing is valid also for Shenzhen. It is not possible to use the train from Shenzhen to Hanoi and remain eligible for any kind of visa free transit scheme.
