About:China Visa-free Policy

Is visa free policy applicable to a Malaysia citizen traveling to China from other countries?

If I travel to China from Malaysia, I can use the visa free policy. However, if I travel to China from Japan, can I still use the visa free policy？

No problem, Wong. You can enjoy this policy as long as you hold a Malaysian passport; it doesn’t matter at all where you travel from. Have a nice trip~

Yes you can. I have entered China a few times directly from Japan using the visa free feature. I am also a Malaysian passport holder.
