144-Hour VISA in Shanghai

I will be flying into Shanghai from Seattle for a Real Estate conference for 5 days. Am I eligible to get a 144 hour VISA?

If you travel from Seattle to Shanghai for a conference, you need a China tourist visa or business visa. According to the policy, you are not eligible for 144-hour transit visa which only applies to the travelers who travel from one country to a third country while transiting in one of the allowed areas of China.
