About:240-Hour Visa-Free Transit

Can I get a 144 hour visa?

So I was only approved for a single entry visa due to my employment. I live in the US w a Dutch passport. I have a round trip flight from NYC to Beijing. I will be going from Beijing - Zhangjiajie - Guilin - Hongkong, which would be me leaving mainland China and thus having used my single entry visa. My question is will I be able to get the 144 hour visa - I have a flight scheduled from Hong Kong to Beijing. Then my return flight is two days later from Beijing to NYC with a short layover in Chengdu (there are almost no direct flights from Beijing to nyc). I would need to leave the airport in Beijing but can stay in the airport in Chengdu.

There are at least four non-stop flights a day from Beijing to New York! There are also many options via Canada, other US cities, Hong Kong, Japan, etc. Your route via Chengdu obviously doesn't qualify for 144 hours transit without visa, and there is no "staying in the airport" option. You either limit your transit to 24 hours in China or change your flights.
