Visiting Macau but staying in Zhuhai overnight for more than 3 days

In reality, it is valid for 4 days, but just 3 overnights because the beginning of visa validity is from the next day of your arrival. You have to know that your every exit from Zhuhai actually annuls your Zhuhai visa. In other words, to be allowed to make an overnight in Zhuhai you are supposed to obtain a new Zhuhai visa every time you cross the border when going from Macau to Zhuhai. So, if your conference lasts for 3 days, you are supposed to apply at least 3 or maybe even 4 times for Zhuhai VOA to enjoy your accommodation and in the same time to attend the conference. Now you have to do the math and calculate the overall cost. Assuming that you are a German citizen, a Zhuhai visa will cost you 168 CNY every time you cross from Macau to Zhuhai. Now, you can calculate whether this option is more economical than the stay in Macau. By the way, I'm well aware that the hotel accommodation in Macau is really very expensive.

Having a Chinese tourist (L) visa could help you a bit, but only in case if you could obtain at least a double entry visa to cover your two border crossings. After you have exhausted the visa, you will use Zhuhai VOAs for the rest of your stay in Macau/Zhuhai.
