About:144-Hour Visa-Free Transit

I'm Korean staying in Japan with qualified visa now.

I'm going to Shanghai on 1st Oct. and leave for Korea 2nd Oct. Do I need a visa?

Choi, if your itinerary is:

Japan - Shanghai - South Korea

Then you are definitely eligible for visa free transit in Shanghai. Of course, you have to take care that your flights to and from Shanghai do not have any other additional landing within mainland China. In other words, you do not need any kind of visa and your entire transit time in Shanghai will define whether you are eligible for 24 or 144 hour visa free transit. In any case, you can enjoy your stay in Shanghai visa free.
