About:240-Hour Visa-Free Transit in Guangdong

Departing ticket requirement

Hello, I have a question regarding the departing ticket.

I have found information saying that "Onward (flight/train/cruise) ticket to a third country (region) with confirmed seat and date within 144 hour on arrival" is needed to get 144 visa.

Is booking confirmation from the carrier enough to get the visa? I will get the actual ticket only by checking in at the airport before departing China.

Thank you

Smit, it is enough to print out your e-tickets and have them in hard copy. This is all you need. OK, it is also appreciated if you have your accommodation booked at least for the first overnight, so that you can fill out that detail in the form. One detail here, you should print the ticket with the long number, usually a 15 digit one.

The sentence you have quoted is a bit clumsy and its real intention is to inform the passengers that only the confirmed and paid in full tickets will be accepted and that those on standby will not be accepted.
