About:72-Hour Visa-Free Transit FAQ

I am traveling from Sydney to Beijing to Delhi

My Sydney to Beijing flight changes planes in Chengdu. 48 hours in Beijing then on to Delhi. I’m Canadian. Does the changeover in Chengdu disqualify me from the 72 hour visa exception?

You need a visa or different flights. Stopping in two transit zones (Chengdu, Beijing) immediately limits you to 24 hours transit without visa in China.
