About:72-Hour Visa-Free Transit

Layover transit visa

I am going to Toronto from India and I have my seven hours layover at Shanghai
So I want to know whether I need Transit Visa or not?

In case that your itinerary is:

India - Shanghai - Toronto

And you don't have any additional landings, you are definitely eligible for 24 hour visa free transit in Shanghai and you don't need any kind of visa. All you need is your valid passport and the flight tickets in hard copy (a printout).
