About:144-Hour Visa-Free Transit

Does a return count?

Just throwing this out there, would Hong Kong > Shanghai > Hong Kong count as we are just returning within 144 hours? Many thanks!

Of course not. It’s a visit to China, not a transit, and requires a visa.
