About:China Visa

Visa or not from Paris to Sanya with a stop ?

Hello,
we are French and we leave Paris to Sanya (Hainan), with a transit either in Guangzhou or Hong Kong.
What visa should we take? A 24-hour transit visa for Guangzhou and a visa free for Hainan? Is this compatible?
By Hong Kong no visa and then just the visa exemption for Hainan? Or should we make an evisa? with one entrance, is it enough? for your help .

Dear, as you will travel from Guangzhou to Hainan, you are actually not exiting from China, which does not meet the rules for 24-hour visa-free transit. Therefore, if you want to transit in Guangzhou, you need to get a single entry visa, which can also be used to enter Hainan. If you transit in HK, you can enjoy the visa-free in Hainan, but you need to book a tour via a travel agency in advance. Evisa is not available.
