About:240-hour Visa-free Transit in Beijing, Tianjin & Hebei

Traveling USA --> Beijing --> Seould

If my flight is direct from USA to PEK, and 19 hours later have a flight from PEK to Seoul (not planning on coming back to mainland China during trip), do I qualify for the 144 hour visa?

In reality, you are eligible for 24 hour visa free transit, to be precise. Every transit that is less than 24 hours long is treated under 24 hour visa free transit.

You are advised to book your accommodation in Beijing in advance and to have a confirmation of your booking in hard copy. This is usually required as a proof that you will stay during the night in some legal place.
