About:240-Hour Visa-Free Transit in Guangdong

Thailand - Guangzhou/Shenzhen - Macau

Hi there,

I am holding a German passport and want to travel the following route:
Bangkok - Guangzhou (or Shenzhen, stay for 2-3 days) via airplane
Shenzhen Shekou - Macau Airport via ferry

would this be ok for the 144hrs visa, if i book the ferry ticket in advance?

Yes, this itinerary is definitely eligible for 144 hour visa free transit in Guangdong province. You should just take care that your flight from Bangkok to Guangzhou doesn't have any additional landing within mainland China. Also, you should book your ferry tickets in advance and you will have to print out an e-confirmation that you will receive on your email. This e-confirmation will serve you as a proof of your real transit and as a proof when you collect your ticket at Shekou terminal.
