About:72-Hour Visa-Free Transit FAQ

24 hour visa exemption

Hi, I want to travel from Dublin (Ireland) to Shanghai to accompany somebody on a flight back from Shanghai to Dublin. So I would just be meeting them in the airport and flying back with them, I wouldn't be leaving the airport, is this possible on the 24 hour visa exemption? Thank you.

You need a visa. Otherwise you will be denied boarding at your origin.
