About:72-Hour Visa-Free Transit

Is visa needed?

Hi I’m American USA and planning to use 72 hour transit in Beijing. Can I Book a round trip flight Denver to Beijing but in Beijing only spend 48 hours then on a separate flight...fly Beijing to Denpasar Bali spend a few days there then fly back to Beijing for my flight back from Beijing to Denver?

Separate tickets are allowed. You can stay in Beijing up to 144 hours (72 hours was extended) on the way to Bali and another 144 hours on the way back. Just make sure the flights between Beijing and Indonesia do not have stops in other Chinese cities or Beijing will be limited to 24 hours.
