About:240-hour Visa-free Transit in Beijing, Tianjin & Hebei

Group of two Leaving Budapest - Paris - Beijing, returning Beijing - Amsterdam - Budapest

We are a group of two leaving from Budapest, Hungary have a stopover in Paris on the way to Beijing and in Amsterdam on the way back, only intending to stay 4 days. Do we qualify for visa-free transit?
How about if we want to end our trip in Amsterdam and not go back to Budapest?

Both work for transit without visa. All the matters is landing before and after Beijing. For visa waiver purposes this is considered Paris - Beijing - Amsterdam. Where you go before Paris and after Amsterdam is not of interest to Chinese Immigration
