About:240-hour Visa-free Transit in Shanghai, Zhejiang, and Jiangsu

uk to take a cruise from Shanghai

Hi we are taking a cruise from Shanghai ending up in japan we are flying from the uk can we arrive into shanghai on a Tuesday morning and leave from the cruise port on the Sunday visa free?

our first port of call is Busan then a couple of stops in japan. is this ok

Yes, you can. Anyway, here are the conditions your itinerary has to fulfill:

- Your flight from UK to Shanghai should not have any additional landings within mainland China and in Japan
- Your cruise should not have its first port call, immediately after Shanghai, in mainland China

If the above conditions are fulfilled, you are definitely eligible for 144 hour visa free transit in Shanghai.
