About:China Student Visa

Part-time Student

Hello. I have been accepted to a part-time master's degree program at an international university in Suzhou, China. I am an American citizen. The thing is, I work there and have a work permit (I have worked as a teacher in China for about four years already). The online application asks for an address to send information for a JW201/202 form to process a student visa. Would I even need a student visa, since I have a working visa? The program is only part-time and just two days per week, so it doesn't interfere with work. I am sure that the university will tell me what is necessary, but maybe someone here knows. The time difference between here and China is so long that I won't know from them until tomorrow or so. Thanks!!

Richard, if you apply for student type, your work type will be expired and you can't work in China any more. So, you are advised to keep your work type and there is no need to apply for student type.
