us passport validity for travel to china

Question

Does 6 month passport validity rule refer to Entrance date into China, or Departure date from China? My passport expires 02/15/2020; I will enter China on 08/13/2020, and depart 3 days later on 08/16/2020.Will I be eligible to enter China?  I will have 6 month validity on US passport when Entering, but when departing China, I will be 1 day short of 6 months.  Thanks so much

Ann, 6 month passport validity means that your passport is valid for at least 6 months when applying. So you just make sure that you enter China before the date of enter before on visa.
