About:24-Hour Visa-Free Transit

Passport validity

Hello,

We are a couple from Belgium travelling the following route with a single airline with a connecting flight in PEK:
BRU- PEK - ICN and a return through the similar route.
Since our passports do not have to exceed the validity of our stay in Korea. It is no longer valid 3 months after our return. Would this pose a problem for our transit in PEK if we stay airside in the international terminal?

Thank you in advance

You should not worry. Those in airside transit (without leaving a transit zone) in large Chinese airports are not a subject of immigration and customs inspection and consequently the Chinese authorities will not care about the remaining validity of your passports. Just to conclude, you are good to go. One more detail, in general, the citizens of Belgium do not need a visa for China for a visit of up to 30 days. I know that you do not plan to visit it during your current journey, but just for your general information.
