About:72-Hour Visa-Free Transit

Will he be eligible for the 72 hour visa exemption?

Hi, I have a client that has travelled from London to Hong Kong, and is travelling from Hong Kong to Shanghai tomorrow. He will be there just over 24 hours and then travelling back to London. Will he be eligible for the 72 hour visa exemption?

If its eligible passport and the flight Shanghai > London does not transit Hong Kong (No Cathay Pacific for example), then it's eligible for 144 hour transit (72 doesn't exist anymore in Shanghai)
