About:Shanghai Public Transportation Card

Does the Shanghai Transportation Card also work in Beijing?

I'm looking into buying a metro card in SH when I arrive, and will be travelling around and ending my trip in Beijing. Do these two cities use the same type of Transportation Card? Or do you need a different Transportation Card for each city?

Every city has their own transport card. You need to buy a new one in Beijing.
